OK, it goes without saying but we’ll say it anyway. A good photo will increase your chances of getting lucky big time. Sure, you can say people are a shallow bunch and you would probably be right, but the way things are is the way things are so best you get on Photoshop and spruce yourself up.
Here’s some hot tips to help you get it just right…

Consider an action shot or party photo. Something which makes you appear lively and active rather than the staged pose. People like a bit of action in their lives.
Make sure people can see you. The shot of you pulling an upside down snowboard jump might look cool on your wall but it’s not going to impress all the folk who want to see your pretty face.
Go for a front on shot. It just looks right. And it will help dates recognise you first time without having to ask you too turn side on.
Smile. Sultry is fine but nothing is more attractive than big set of pearly whites.
Use a recent shot. Sure, that shot of you back in ’63 when you had hair looks better, but you can bet your bottom dollar that any prospective date is going to be less than impressed when they find out you lied to them.
Put in photos of pets as long as you’re with them. There’s only a slim chance that people will mistake the two of you and if you’re prepared to take that risk then we are too.
Put in that sexy soft focus photo of you in lingerie (or your ex girlfirend’s lingerie, we’re not judgemental). Just keep the lingerie on.

Put in a group shot. Yes it’s possible people will mistake you for your piping hot friend but no, they’re not going to be happy when they figure out they were mistaken. And all they’ll be thinking is, ‘how can I get this person to give me their hot mate’s phone number’.
Put in someone else’s photo. Brad Pitt is Brad Pitt. Jessica Alba is Jessica Alba. You are you. Accept it. ‘Nuff said.
Put in photos of kiddies, even if they are you or your kids. It opens things up to a whole world of internet evil that we want no part of.
Put in photos with your bits hanging out. There’s a fine line between sexy and porno and it’s better for everyone if you stick to the right side of it.

Photo size
Your photo should be a jpg, which is what digital cameras shoot so you should have no problem there.
Your photo should be less than 1Mb in size.
Your photo should be less than 500 pixels on its biggest size. Most digital cameras shoot photos a lot bigger than this so this means you might need to do a bit of cropping to get it right.

What happens if i break the rules?
If you put up a photo that’s too big you’ll know straight away because the system won’t accept it.
If you put up a bad photo that’s fine with us but it probably won’t be fine with you when you get no admirers.
If you put up a group photo or one with kids or porno shots or someone other than yourself then we’ll take it down again and you’ll be busted. Are we being a bit tough? Sure, but a bit of law and order makes the world go round.
